Greetings my friends and welcome back to my overview of the 2019 Toy Insider “Sweet Suite”. This is our third and final chapter and if you’re just joining me now for some reason or another please click HERE first as it will launch the first two installments in a new browser window for you to enjoy in order. With these types of events, I do a continued monologue when I choose to chime in and I’d prefer that it all makes sense to you.
Oh I should point out that the photo above is not edible at all and these fake treats each contain a stuffed puppy. Then there are these two young ladies showing off the Orb Slimey concoction. I used to love the slime product when I was a kid and am amazed at how far its come since way back when.
I love this WowWee fortune cookie trinket. It’s inedible of course and once you crack open the “cookie” there is a little locket thing and a real fortune and what I think was a sticker. They gave me a handful of these and they are going right to my friends wee ones when I get home so I keep in good standing 🙂
For this next bunch of images I’m going to take a page from the way I do my Toy Fair reports and focus on these two next companies to close up this adventure. I’ll start with Jakks Pacific who had a massive booth at this years soiree.
As an ardent admirer of dinosaurs and particularly the Tyrannosaurus Rex, I love the “Gigantosaurus” line from Jakks. They have a little of everything for this creation from action figure type releases, plush, and even some blind boxes which look more like eggs. I wonder if they have one that’s about 8-10 inches in height since I can set him up near my Godzilla of the same size.
The folks at Jakks had a massive pinata hanging from above and the children Influencer group was encouraged to bash it with reckless abandon. Once it broke open a number of their smaller toys fell out for all to grab. The downside was that the floor was covered with a confetti and streaming ribbon stuff so it was tricky to see where things went. One doesn’t want to step on toys and break them after all.
Now it’s onto the rather large display that our friends at Just Play had going on. I’m a big fan of some of their licenses and present the findings for you down below with our last group of images. Of my favorite things from Just Play is the PJ Masks. I actually met the characters at my very first “Holiday Of Play”.
So there you have it my readers. I’ve successfully locked another “Sweet Suite” in the books of covered special events. This was a great one and it was so nice to see so many of our toy industry rep friends once again. Generally speaking at Toy Fair there isn’t much time for chit chat but this is much looser and condusive to conversation and I like that very much. Thanks very much to the folks at Toy Insider and Pop Insider for inviting us to this event and their media facilitators for making it so easy to get the work done. As I’ve mentioned, the Toy Insider also has a holiday event called “Holiday Of Play” which is much more specialized and I hope to participate in that one as well. If I do you can count on posts here on the website as well as lots of activity on the social networks that we use here on “The Chronicles” on a daily basis. For those that missed the links, I’m talking about our Official Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Be sure to sign up after clicking the links.
