Hello my friends. When we last discussed the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures feature “Mulan”, it was way back in July and while I personally feel that five months is a little long to make an audience wait between teaser and Official Trailer here we are. The folks at Disney seem to be serving up live-action versions of a lot of their films as movies like “Dumbo”, “Lion King” and “Aladdin” have all had their chance and now it’s time for “Mulan” to shine. If you missed the months ago posted Teaser Trailer just click HERE to be up to date. We can wait for you to return before suggesting that you watch the latest clip down below. I’ve also added the premise, casting and teaser poster for your full enjoyment. Have at it.
The Plot: When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders attacking China, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. She is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into not only an honored warrior, but one of China’s greatest warriors ever and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: When I posted about the Teaser Trailer, I pointed out that while this surely looks to be beautifully shot, I don’t really get to these films in the theater anymore and I’ve never gotten around to seeing the original animated film that the live-action version was inspired by. What about you readers? Does anything about this trailer interest you in the film? You still have plenty of time to decide about it but feel free to share your initial thoughts. See you next time.
