If you’ve read any of my PiercingMetal.com concert items you already know how much we love the live music scene of our metropolis but hey, we are on “The Chronicles” site so what exactly am I getting at? For a couple of years I’ve been slowly morphing this website into a much broader lifestyle website in terms of the items being discussed and what is happening in NYC in regards to touristy stuff. One of the things I added to the site was the same calendar that I use on PiercingMetal and with it I’ve been listing different things to do in our region and so far the readers of The Chronicles are loving its diversity. All of this leads me to the recent announcement of the SummerStage 2017 events that will be happening in numerous parks across the city. Get your mobile ready to start marking down the things that interest you and the family the most. Behold the Full Calendar 🙂

Oh yeah and in addition to this cornucopia of free performances there are a few ticketed shows. I’ve left them out of the free listings to not confuse people and those shows include Gov’t Mule (May 17), Elvis Costello & The Imposters (June 15), PJ Harvey (July 19) and Regina Spektor (July 27). For this group you will need tickets and these are benefit shows which means the money raised at them will help keep funding all of the free stuff and you know we want that to keep on happening so consider making an appearance. It also doesn’t hurt to donate a few bucks to the organization directly which you can likely find on their official link below.
PiercingKen Thoughts: I’m not going to add too much here outside of saying that I hope to attend a couple of the ticketed shows for my other website since they are Rock themed. Otherwise there isn’t a whole lot for my own personal preferences but that is okay by me. There is surely a diverse group of offerings across a number of beautiful NYC parks. Here is my recommendation for the events you plan to see. Get to the parks early and enjoy some of the visuals and things they offer. Perhaps there are some vendors that you want to try the fare from. Whatever it takes to make the experience all the more special. This is New York City after all and our citizens seldom do only one thing when they head out to explore and enjoy themselves. Please feel free to let me know what you think of this list down in the comments below. I’m hoping to share more things like this with you and while I don’t think I am adding all of this stuff to the calendar I spoke of in my intro paragraph, there might be one or two that makes their way there. Until next time, ciao.
