My next stop on my little exploration of some of the historical places while visiting my upstate friends would be the New Windsor Cantonment. It would be easy to explore this place as it was right next to where I just was for the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor which was discussed on THIS POST. Now it was the Cantonment’s turn and I was glad that I waited to do this one second since it was a lot more involved in terms of things to see. Once again this is mostly a visual presentation because I want you to reflect and feel as though you are also walking the museum. Personally speaking I hate when people are chattering all around me instead of whispering in such a place. Here we go.
Now it was time to head over to the area where a lot of cool Colonial cannons were displayed. These were amazing. Talk about your “heavy metal” hyuk hyuk hyuk. Let’s arm our minds with these artillery visuals.
That’s all you are going to get for the time being but don’t worry I shall return soon with the second chapter in this particular adventure. I have a couple of other items going live before that happens but do stay tuned since I know you are going to like it. In the meantime please hit the website below to learn more about the Cantonment and do add it to your historical forays if you are in the region and able to do so.
