My good friend Joe Kaufman is a Luthier and that means he builds guitars. He is also a bit of a technical wizard when it comes to doing repairs on the things and when he locked in a booth at the NY Guitar Show and Exposition that was being held out in Freeport, NY I offered up my time to be an extra pair of hands at the show. That larger report is over on my PiercingMetal.com site and can be observed HERE if you wanted to look. This post is fully focused on our setting up and presenting the booth and Joe’s instruments to the public.
We didn’t have a proper banner for this show unfortunately as this was a last minute decision for Joe. These events are a lot of work and planning in case you didn’t realize.
The booth is finished and the main guitars he is showcasing are presented. I love the space-age design of these things.
Here’s Joe with my friend Chavez who runs 812 Guitars. Chavez is a super skilled builder and technician as well.
Here’s Joe and John “The Cat” Gatto from The Good Rats. It’s always great to see John. PiercingMetal.com has covered a few Good Rats shows over the years.
The loot below was done in the spirit of the kinds of videos that showcase a living large vibe. Actually the dude purchasing a guitar from Joe was counting it out like this so I had to add it to our narrative.
Well I know who’s buying dinner tonight after all this work.
That’s all I have for this part of the story and I hope you enjoyed it. You can learn more about Joe’s guitars by clicking his website link below and in case you missed it earlier, the link to the larger guitar show coverage can be found HERE.
