For the past few days I’ve been sharing my findings from an event known as “Sweet Suite” which is organized by the Toy Insider folks and part of a larger conference called “Blogger Bash”. If you are just now discovering this website, I’d love for you to see the “Sweet Suite” posts and you can do that by clicking on THIS LINK. When invited to the Blogger Bash part of the conference I gladly said “sure” but what exactly was this all about? I’ve pasted the overall goal down below for you to educate yourself.
“Blogger Bash is a conference designed for experienced digital influencers. Whether your influence is on your personal blog, YouTube channel, or social channels, we want to help grow your impact. If you’re looking to meet with some of the biggest brands as well as discover unique new products, join us! Blogger Bash will also feature some light learning experiences, and it’s a great place to grow your network. At Blogger Bash, you’ll make new connections, expand your community, and strengthen your voice.”
As you might have expected, this conference would also be on the Cornucopia Majesty yacht that we were all on yesterday. All of the toy representatives had left and in their place would be a slew of other interesting companies. I couldn’t resist sharing a couple of pics of this beautiful boat.
My badge from “Sweet Suite” was going to work out for this event as well so there was no time wasted at the check in area. It was just get back on the boat and start exploring.
I loved this balloon sculpture of the anchor that was being used as the premise on this years BB. Pretty cool right? I think so.
Now I go to a LOT of events and you shake hands or touch things along the way that really find something like this coming in handy. I really liked that they had cannisters of hand sanitizer to walk around with when when you were sitting down and needed a freshen up.
Now let’s get to exploring some of these vendor tables. What intrigued me the most about this was being able to expand the things I am talking about and with my using “The Chronicles” a lot more these days this was surely going to help that process along. First up are the folks from Sentiments who make assorted pet items designed for their comfort. I wonder if Spooke would like something like this. Shadow used to have one but Spooke now has the run of the full apartment and I am getting off topic now so let’s continue.
This next vendor was not new to me and was one that I had seen at a couple of the past years Toy Fair events. They make wonderful stuff all out of wool. I’d love a couple of the creepier items but think that my cat would make short work of them if she got her paws on them.
A lot of vendors had food samples going on and this one intrigued me as it was a container that allowed for quick and easy microwave pasta preparation. I am one of those cooks that gets the pasta “al dente” whether he wants to or not. This might come in handy.
I love a good container and these folks at Sistema had wonderful items that let you bring your lunch along to the office or to a convention where they are not serving any eats or its just too pricey to do as opposed to bringing from home. When the rep asked me if I carried lunch I answered yes and when she asked what I take it around in, I replied in an old Chinese Food plastic container. They looked at me blankly and handed me a sandwich box for future use. It was very nice of them.
These are the folks from Stealth Conservation and I have to admit that the little stuffed “poop” Emojis are what drew me to them. They work with a waste management system and it intrigued me for potential Co-Op implementation. I took the information, along with a couple of poop Emojis.
Good lord were these cookies incredible. This is SMACKARY’s and they are brand new to me but oh wow and hot damn. I tried both and was ready to slide the whole tray into my bag. Sadly I didn’t have any tinfoil and too many people were watching.
Bumble Bee Foods had a nice display but were not giving out cans of the fine tuna brand that I love. At least not to me. I did get a wooden spoon which will be put to use in food prep going forward but wow would I have loved a few cans of the stuff. A blogger has to eat after all.
Chock Full ‘O Nuts, one of the most famous of coffees. I love coffee and cannot start my day without it.
Challenge Butter had a table and some kind representatives. They were even wearing little antlers. Yes I wanted one but that is just me since I am weird and trying to absorb all the sights and scenes. I loved their butter and would use it for sure.
This was Red Baron frozen pizza. As a pretty close to lifelong resident of Brooklyn, I am a bit of an expert in the field (well, at least that is what I will tell you if you ask me about it). I enjoyed this offering and quickly devoured two slices. They even gave me a t-shirt which I will wear soon for sure.
This is the setup by the folks at Kanex who make a number of products for the technical person in your life. They had some cool keyboards and USB devices along with a charger that I didn’t see when I snapped the shot. I guess someone else was examining it. I always need a charge and have been advised to buy one of those external batteries.
These are “SOULKIX” and apparently very comfortable kicks that have designs printed right on them. I will take a few pairs with KISS and superhero images on them please.
Adam and Eve was displaying some very provocative offerings for sure and as result a hit of the convention.
When I arrived, the “Peanuts” lecture was already in progress and they were showing clips from the television program and talking to the young actors who do the voices of the famous characters. I had to say that the kid doing the new Charlie Brown voice had the classic sound of the one I grew up with many, many years ago.
Oh yeah and here are the three young actors who do the voices in the new Charlie Brown cartoons. Pictured from L2R are Aiden Lewandowski (Charlie Brown), Bella Stine (Lucy van Pelt) and Jude Perry (Linus van Pelt). It was a lot of fun hearing them talk about being a part of these classic characters in today’s world. Good luck guys.
The “Peanuts” session came with an awesome takeaway bag and all of this was in there. I love Snoopy so I was pretty excited.
Hasbro was here as well, and we love discussing the stuff that we see at Toy Fair at their showroom when its possible to be there. This little dragon was super cute but I am more a fan of the giant Transformer that was here. That sadly was not being given away. Oh well, you can dream.
I admit some surprise about seeing Texas Instruments at the conference tables. I’ve been out of school for quite a while and was pretty much thinking that the students all did their thing via the mobile devices. I still have an old TI calculator in a box somewhere and I use it to do my budget sheet when I actually remember to do my budget sheet.
I love a good pair of sunglasses and think that I might be heading towards needing a prescription pair at long last. The Soleurs people had a lovely display but I was on the move and their people were otherwise engaged. Link will be below of course.
This is the Boiron Arnicare display but I didn’t get to talk to anyone at the table. They were busy and I was just fleeting by. The link will assist you down at the bottom of the post.
Okay, that is going to have to do for the first chapter of “Blogger Bash”. If I am judging the photo folder correctly, there is enough for two more posts so I will return in the coming days and bring those to you. I did post some stuff to our OFFICIAL INSTAGRAM so click that text to be brought to the “PiercingKen” profile. We welcome all your follows, likes and comments so bring them on. While you wait for the next installment you can also click on some of the websites that are linked below and waiting on your shopping scrutiny.
