A few days ago I shared part one of the time that I was spending on the New Windsor Cantonment not too many days ago and since I was taking so many photos had decided to portion them out into two distinct but related chapters. terms of the photos that I was getting in the trusty Panasonic Lumix so I decided to portion them out into two chapters. I’ll finish up with the artillery room and then head outside for some other interesting stuff. Here we go.

Here’s a video of Matt giving us the Blacksmith demonstration. I captured this with the handy dandy sidearm camera.

Below you’ll find a few images of the typical tools used by the Smithie back in these Colonial Times.

I hope you enjoyed this historical presentation. Man it makes you sit back and think about how far we have come as a society when you see stuff from back in these Colonial times. I still had a couple of stops on the journey according to my regional tour guide Pete so stay tuned as I will be presenting those visuals for you soon enough. Remember to head up to New Windsor NY if its easily doable and appreciate some of our country’s historic past.
