It was five years ago today that I decided to temporarily take off the leather gloves and Heavy Metal bling to put together some posts that would showcase another side of my photographic and journalistic adventures. Yes my friends, today is the fifth anniversary of the PiercingKen.com blog and I can hardly believe it.
It’s sure been a blast for me to have this extension for the creative energies and to bring them to your computer screens and mobile devices for this long a time. Statistically speaking its doing pretty good as a site of this kind and has had a few hundred thousand visitors and served up about a million page views to date. Okay, so it does have some serious catching up to do against my PiercingMetal.com site but that’s alright. With the number of websites currently online at this point in history I am grateful for any time that you spend here.
I should stress that I’ve been using the official social networks for the site quite a bit so please come check us out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram because each of them expands upon the stuff you are seeing here on the site. I’ll close out now with a word of “Thanks” and “Stay Tuned” for the next stuff.
I just wanted to take a moment and let the readers of the PiercingKen.com site know that my music and pop culture website PiercingMetal.com is celebrating its 10th Anniversary today. To be quite honest I can hardly believe it because it really doesn’t feel like its been that long but indeed it has. I put up a quick narrative with some history and visuals on the website and you can check that out by clicking on the image below. If you’ve been supporting the site over the years I would love for you to comment in on the anniversary and ask that you do it on that post as opposed to here. The comments on this posting have been turned off so you cannot say it here anyway.
Thanks for all the support you’ve given to PiercingMetal and of course on this site as well; I will be back on this same channel with your regularly scheduled posting programs 🙂
Good afternoon readers and those who just are chancing by and enjoying the offerings of this little website of mine. I wanted to take a moment of your time to let you know that my music and photography site, PiercingMetal.com, has reached its eighth anniversary today. I’m very proud of that particular domain and if not for my doing that website I would have never decided to launch this Lifestyle Blog as well. It’s on that website that you will find reviews of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music, video, books and concerts along with thousands of photographs. I even have a blog connected to it that I call “PiercingMetal Musings” and that is where I talk deeply about comic books, conventions and other things that interest me. Clicking the graphic below will bring you over to the sites main page so you can see what we have been up to. I hope you enjoy it.
PiercingMetal utilizes all of the main Social Networks of the day so please give a like or follow to the sites official accounts via the links below. I’ll see you soon back on this site with my next interesting adventure around the metropolis.
Hey there. I just wanted to take a quick commercial break from the regularly scheduled blogging to let you all know that the PiercingKen Blog has successfully hit the beginning of our second year. It’s exciting for me to say the least because I was still enjoying the feeling of accomplishment after recently celebrating seven years of PiercingMetal.com as a website and having its own blog hit five years shortly after that. When one considers how rapidly blogs and websites come and go nowadays thanks to things like Facebook Pages it’s always nice to have clocked in with another year of creative output.
I’ll admit to the readers that I really love having the PiercingKen Blog because it lets me do absolutely anything that I feel like tossing into the mix. Sometimes I will talk about music or past experiences in the field and sometimes I will do something with a more culinary flair and show you how to properly assemble a Vietnamese chicken noodle soup. PiercingKen is my catch all, but at the same time is a real day to day life observance through my eyes and will bring to your attention anything that I see that I feel like writing about or sharing with you. Some readers love it and there are others who, well, I really don’t care if they like it or not. Those folks can spend their time surfing around for other stuff that suits their fancy.
I’ve been going through so many photo folders to see what we have for upcoming posts and believe me there is a healthy amount of “travelog” kind of stuff to share with you along with whatever else happens to amuse me at the time. I might even scan some older photographs of places that I shot years ago and would like to explore as a creative today. Who knows. Just stay tuned by subscribing to our RSS Feed or adding our Official Facebook Page or Twitter. Thanks for making the past two years a lot of fun, I love keeping you entertained.
Hey there readers and welcome back to yet another post on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”, I am always glad to find you stopping by. So what is this particular narrative about you might be wondering, well, this is not so much a traditional post but is instead more of an announcement and traffic detour to my other website. I’m doing this today because PiercingMetal.com has been online for seven years as of today and one has to ring the bell over the bar with a lucky seven right? It’s been a blast bringing all sort of Metal music happenings to those readers and since the PK.com realm is vastly different from that side of the creative mix, I am periodically going to announce what is being done on PiercingMetal.com using the powers of PiercingKen.com – Don’t worry, my plan is to do the same thing over there for the benefit of this blog as it would only be fair. Anyway, please do click the wonderful seven slices of pizza photo below (that is from Nino’s Pizzeria right near our Creative Command HQ BTW) and you can see what is going on over there. Thanks as always for your interest and dedication to these creative musings. It’s a pleasure to serve you 🙂
