As readers of “The Chronicles” Lifestyle and Entertainment Blog know, I’ve been adding a LOT of film and television content to the site over the last few months and while I tend to do that on PiercingMetal.com as well, the focus there is with the superhero and monster or science fiction related releases. That said, there are times when I must repeat myself on “The Chronicles” and with that being said let’s copy and paste our narrative about this brand new trailer.
“I’ve been waiting with baited breath since this past Sunday when I learned that we would get the first official trailer for the upcoming Walt Disney Studios/Marvel Studios motion picture “Captain Marvel”. Just a short time ago, the trailer was revealed on the “Good Morning America” program on ABC and now I am sharing it with you all. Let’s take a look. I’ve also loaded in some casting and premise for good measure”.
The Premise: Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. The Disney Studios keep dishing out some quality live-action films based on their greatest animated features of the past. One of the most timeless of them all is surely “The Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh” and now, many years after that film comes “Christopher Robin” which opens today in theaters everywhere. I’ve embedded the official theatrical poster below along with reminder premise and casting. Take a look.
The Plot: Christopher Robin, the little boy from the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, is now all grown up and has lost all sense of imagination. Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood re-enter Christopher’s life to help him find it again. (thanks Wiki).
Hey readers, I hope you had an enjoyable Fourth Of July weekend. Now that the holiday weekend is past us, its time to get small again and I mean down to Ant-Man size as the sequel to his film opens today with “Ant-Man and The Wasp”. As you might already know, he was not a part of the recent “Avengers: Infinity War” which means that film took place AFTER the events that we shall be enjoying in this feature. Let’s get a look at the theatrical release poster, premise and casting to gear you up and in case you missed them on the racks, its still probably possible to get your hands on the issues of the “Ant-Man and The Wasp” themed True Believers comics from Marvel. Just ask your local retailer about them and use THIS POST as a guideline.
As a card-carrying fan of the superhero genre along with comic books and the films that come out to showcase them to the world, I was a big fan of Disney’s “The Incredibles” from 2004. The popularity of the film makes me a little surprised that it took until 2018 to deliver a sequel but here we are as the film opens today in theaters everywhere. I showcased the trailer over on PiercingMetal.com and if you didn’t see it yet please click HERE. Below you will find the theatrical poster, premise and casting.
The Plot: Incredibles 2 resumes where The Incredibles ends, with the introduction of the villain The Underminer. The Parr family struggles to maintain normal lives while Helen, as Elastigirl, continues to fight crime and campaign for the return of “supers”; while Bob, also known as Mr. Incredible, stays at home caring for their children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack, discovering the baby’s secret powers in the process. Also, the Parrs and their ally Frozone find they must battle a new villain, who goes by the name of Screenslaver. Continue reading Opening: “Incredibles 2” in Theaters Everywhere (6/15/2018)→
As we’ve recently shared the teaser trailer for the upcoming “Mary Poppins Returns” and the full-on trailer for “Christopher Robin”, I guess I should not have been surprised to find the first teaser for Disney’s “Dumbo” being released just a short time ago. The film is a new take on the classic character from the animated feature that bears the same name and comes to us care of the imagination of the great Tim Burton. Let’s take a look shall we?
The Premise: Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, silver-tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, and aerial artist Colette Marchant swoop in to make the little elephant a star.
