The 2020 BookExpo, The Book Con and Unbound Are Cancelled; See You In 2021

We’ve just received some sad news from the media handlers of the popular BookExpo, The Book Con and Unbound event that was to be held in July after being rescheduled from late May due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (we first discussed that HERE). With the city still dealing with this crisis, this event will cancel its plans for the year and return next Spring. Check it out down below.

To our BookExpo, UnBound & BookCon community,

Due to the escalation of COVID-19 globally, Reed Exhibitions has today announced that the next edition of BookExpo, UnBound and BookCon will now take place in the spring of 2021.

Initially, we were optimistic that our events could run in late July. However, as the pandemic has continued to escalate in the United States and we see the challenges it has brought for the book industry, it is clear that 2020 is no longer a viable option for this community.

Though originally rescheduled to this date, the continuing problems with the Coronavirus Pandemic finds ReedPOP cancelling this years BookExpo, The Book Con and Unbound events until next Spring. Refunds are available via their Official Site. Please stay tuned to their Official Socials and this website’s calendar for the latest listing updates.

The BookExpo for 2020 is officially open for all the members of the publishing industry and its related business partners and approved press. This is the trade show to attend if you are in the publishing world at all so don’t miss out. You’ve also got the Unbound section and NY Rights Fair to explore if you are so inclined. This is the rescheduled date from the postponed May 2020 one. All previously registered passes will work on these new dates.
