FAO Schwarz Announces “160 Years Of Toys” Celebration in Rockefeller Center

The famed F.A.O Schwarz has announced a special event for this coming Saturday called a “Celebration of 160 Years of Toys”. I’ve shared the invite and the full details for those interested down below so do please check it out.

WHAT: Together with Rockefeller Plaza, F.A.O Schwarz will host a free, family-friendly event to celebrate its’ 160th years of toys and inspiring awe and discovery. The celebration will include live performances from magicians, Broadway Cares, American Ballet Theatre Students, and balloonist’s; with sweet treats from Magnolia Bakery and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and others, a variety of craft activities, skating with our Toy Soldiers at Flippers, the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile and more!

Hasbro to Acquire Entertainment One

You might have noticed that every so often I’ve been sharing what amounts to be the big news for the industries that we are paying attention to on this and the PiercingMetal website. The announcement that legendary toy company Hasbro would be purchasing Entertainment One is some really big news. Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) and Entertainment One Ltd. (LSE: ETO) (eOne) today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Hasbro will acquire eOne in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately £3.3 billion or US$4.0 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, eOne shareholders will receive £5.60 in cash for each common share of eOne, which represents a 31% premium to eOne’s 30-day volume weighted average price (VWAP) as of August 22, 2019.
