Organizers Cancel 2020 Affordable Art Fair NYC Amid Coronavirus Concerns

We send you our warmest wishes for your health and look forward to seeing you at our Spring 2021 edition, where we will bring you an array of local, national and international galleries, showcasing 1000s of affordable contemporary artworks, all priced up to $10,000.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Sadly, I’ve never been to this particular event before but did learn about it from our friends over at the The Worley Gig who’ve covered it a number of times over the years. One of my plans for this year before it all came crashing down was to explore it at long last and bring you the inside scoop. Let’s hope that the Spring Show that is listed on their website will end up happening because if it is I will do my best to be there as well. See you next time. Recent developments have made it impossible to bring buyers and brands together safely and successfully. This is due to the ongoing progression of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S., including the latest government data, measures, and guidelines on the phased reopening plans in the U.S.; the number of confirmed cases worldwide and domestically; current quarantines, containment areas, stay at home orders, and restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by states and other government and public health authorities; travel restrictions into the New York City area; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies.

Breaking: The 74th Annual Tony Awards Are Postponed Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Tony Award Productions released the following statement on March 25 regarding the American Theatre Wing’s 2020 Tony Awards®, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing:

The 74th Annual Tony Awards, scheduled to air live on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 7th from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date, in coordination with our broadcast partner. The health and safety of the Broadway community, artists and fans are of the utmost importance to us.
