Last night the annual BET Awards were handed out and this post amounts to the first time that I am sharing the winners of the awards with the readership. Generally speaking, with these sorts of items I like to do a post with all the nominees and then follow it with the results from the broadcast. Since some of you might not be too up on these awards for whatever reason, I’ve culled their description from the Official Wiki; Take a look –

“The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year. The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on BET. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by artists, and some of the awards of more popular interest are presented in a televised ceremony.”

Last night, all the folks that you hear about on TMZ over and over again, assembled in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to watch their favorite musical talents perform and get some recognition for the work they did during the previous year. I’m talking about the American Music Awards and this post will showcase all of the nominated artists and albums along with the winners. I figured this might be something the readers of “The Chronicles” would like to see based on all of the other awards shows that I have done a rundown for over the last couple of years.
