The notion of sequel after sequel isn’t always a bad thing depending on the property its showcasing but that being said, I don’t always like the idea of a prequel that shows me where things all began. However, when I learned that the classic cartoon hound Scooby-Doo was getting a film about his beginnings, I felt that there could be some charm in it. From the looks of it, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of live-action versions of the Walt Disney Pictures classic animations coming to light. We recently found “The Lion King” being a blockbuster of a success and “Mulan” is coming out soon as well along with a sequel to the original story of “Maleficent”. This latest one is a take on “Lady and The Tramp”, the timeless love story that involves two dogs and was an animated feature that would bring a tear to your eyes. The only difference about this from the others is that it will NOT open in theaters at all and be an exclusive to the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
