Hello my friends, I am here to offer up the full rundown of nominees for the 2020 Grammy Awards which were just officially announced a short time ago. This was done by the their president/CEO Deborah Dugan and Academy Chair of the Board of Trustees Harvey Mason Jr. along with host Alicia Keys and Bebe Rexha. I didn’t see these announcements myself and instead culled assorted entertainment sites along with the Grammy Official Site for the information. Let’s take a look at the list and see if your favorites are nominated for the coveted Grammy Award.
Album of the Year:
Bon Iver – i,i
Lana Del Rey – Norman Fucking Rockwell!
Billie Eilish – When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
H.E.R. – I Used to Know Her
Lil Nas X – 7
Lizzo – Cuz I Love You
Vampire Weekend – Father of the Bride
The Recording Industry calls this the “Biggest Night In Music” for the year and to fans of some genres out there this is probably true. As a tried and true supporter of Metal and Rock, this is generally a disappointment but that is a matter discussed over on the PiercingMetal.com website and not here on ”The Chronicles” since the audience is a lot more varied. The Grammy’s were given out over the course of the last few hours and I’ve been researching and typing to get them all to you shortly after the broadcast. I didn’t watch more than fifteen minutes of it since “The Walking Dead” was on and that’s more important to me. Also, the disrespect of Rock and Metal with their awards being announced and given out before the broadcast even aired found me discussing the matter on the Metal site on THIS POST so do please check that out if you are so inclined. This list is long so you’re going to want to get comfortable. Here we go.
