I’ve discussed the film “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu” a couple of times here on “The Chronicles” and shared its first trailer (HERE) and the second (HERE) and if you haven’t yet enjoyed that weirdness I cannot stress it any more emphatically that you do since its some wild stuff. Today, the film opens up in theaters everywhere and I think that this is going to be one wild ride. Let’s review the premise and casting after the theatrical poster.
The Premise: In the Pokémon universe, Tim Goodman is a former Pokémon Trainer and the son of prominent detective Harry Goodman. When his father disappears in a car crash, Tim arrives in Ryme City and ends up meeting Detective Pikachu who was Harry’s former Pokémon partner. Tim is somehow able to understand the Detective, and they reluctantly team up to find Harry and uncover the mystery surrounding his disappearance. Chasing clues through the streets of Ryme City, the dynamic duo soon discover a devious plot that poses a threat to the Pokémon universe. We have arrived my friends. The culmination of some “22” Marvel Studios films has all led us to this moment and “Avengers: Endgame” will be playing EVERYWHERE starting today. Some folks saw the late night advance viewing last night so I hope they are mindful of spoiling it for the rest of us. The Premise: Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, silver-tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, and aerial artist Colette Marchant swoop in to make the little elephant a star. Today is the day my friends as its time for us to go higher, further and faster with the mighty Captain Marvel who makes her grand debut as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The film is opening up today in theaters everywhere but first let’s revisit some of the posts that were done in support of the release over on the PiercingMetal.com website. Last month, Marvel Comics unleashed a crop of one dollar comics, their “True Believers” line which all featured her and you might still be able to get most of them if you ask your local retailer about them.
