Driftwood Country Music Festival Expands To Austin & Denver

Though we’ll be locked down to our own Music Metropolis at the time of this interesting festival, I wanted to share the latest scoop about it since their publicity channel has provided us with a whole lot of details. Read on and learn more about the Driftwood Country Music Festival…..

The Press Release:
Premier music festival production company Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE) and California’s most successful and respected craft beer festival producer Brew Ha Ha Productions are pleased to announce the expansion of the acclaimed Driftwood Country Music, Craft Beer & BBQ Festival to include dates in Denver, CO and Austin, TX in September. Both dates will feature performances from country music acts Chase Rice, Michael Ray, Walker Hayes, Seth Ennis, and more, along with over 100 craft beers from some of the best breweries in the nation, and tasty BBQ from some of the region’s top eateries. Details on Driftwood’s flagship 2-day show in Dana Point, CA will be announced later this month.

Each date of Driftwood will include craft beer selections from a ton of local favorites, along with top national breweries. The Denver market will feature craft beer tastings, where craft beer lovers who are 21+ can sample over 100 craft beers from the finest breweries in the nation until 4:00 PM with an initial list of participating breweries including Avery Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, Celis Brewing, Colorado Cider Company, Firestone Walker, Flying Man Brewing, FunkWerks, Lone Pint Brewing, Meridian Hive, and Two Wheel Brewing. The Austin market will have various craft beers for purchase, with an initial list of participating breweries including 21st Amendment, Avery Brewing, Big Choice Brewing, Moonlight Brewing Co., Oskar Blues, Renegade Brewing Co., Ska Brewing, and Upslope Brewing. Announcing The Return Of The “Fear The Riff” Expo

Calling all regional musicians. Pay some heed to this recent bit of press about the return of the “Fear The Riff” Expo. The full press release is below and don’t worry I will return with some closing thoughts at the end of course.

The 2nd Annual FEAR THE RIFF EXPO will be coming to Brooklyn on August 11th, 2018. Gearheads, effects aficionados and fans who want to meet their heroes alike will enjoy the event, happening at the Brooklyn Expo Center from 10am through 6pm.

The Guitar industry is in the midst of a true renaissance. A surge of innovative boutique and small batch crafters have carved out an exceptional market for true tone seekers and gear heads. FEAR THE RIFF is proud to have assembled the best in boutique guitar effects, amps and accessories in the country’s greatest city, New York. For one day, 60-plus vendors will converge upon Brooklyn’s Expo Center to demo their latest creations to industry, press and of course music fans from all over. ReedPOP & NY Comic Con Announce “The Dates” For 2018

Hey there my dear readers, I just wanted to alert you to this bit of news about the upcoming 2018 NY Comic Con. It came to us not long ago from the folks over at ReedPOP and you’ll want to mark some of this stuff down for good measure as its important if you are a fan of this massive convention.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I am going to stress the importance of watching for the “Fan Verification” email because I’ve had a lot of important messages go to my Spam folder over the last few months. Considering that you need to be verified nowadays to attend this event you are NOT going to want to miss out on this one if you have a profile already. The registration for Industry Professionals and the Press is already open and I’ve just requested my credentials for the PiercingMetal Media site. As most of you more tenured readers know, I’ve been attending this convention since 2010 as a member of the press and have put together numerous posts about it. Hey NYC – “Fanfaire 2018” Is Coming!

As I tooled around Facebook the other day to see what was happening in terms of interesting events to attend or support I learned about the 2018 Fanfaire and have provided some information for your attention. Check it out.

Here’s The Scoop:

About The Event: Fanfaire is an annual two-day festival, created by the Art & Design High School Parent Teacher Association. Fanfaire will celebrate creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology in the arts from cartooning and animation to architecture and fashion. This event will draw over 125 exhibiting artists and vendors as well as award-winning guest speakers who will be offering lectures about their careers and artistic processes as well as conducting workshops and portfolio reviews. The PTA created Fanfaire in its mission to provide funding for high-quality art programs, prepare students for academic success and careers as professional commercial artists. This platform will allow students of an art centric high school access to best of the global entertainment and technology industries that has relatable content with their futures in mind.

About Art & Design High School PTA: As a public school celebrating its 82nd year, Art & Design High School serves many students who live in underserved communities. In addition to the typical expenses any student would have, our students need professional grade art supplies and materials as well as opportunities for college exploration and career development that is unique in comparison to other schools. The PTA helps fund these critical needs and more for the students and school, and provide the necessary support for their families across all socio-economic strata, which is why we created Fanfaire.
