48th annual daytime emmys logo

The winners of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy’s were recently announced during a live broadcast on CBS and I kept pace with the program to have the names of the winners circle as fast as possible. It was hosted by Sheryl Underwood of “The Talk” who handled the duties all by herself with no additional hosts present. I’ll return at the close with some editorial rumblings so may I have the envelope please….

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Before I add some personal opinion let me say “Congratulations” to all of the winners for the work put in for entertainment during a truly erratic and chaotic time. I still think we have some hurdles to jump but let me not soapbox this in my closing. Now while I mentioned in the nominations post that I don’t really watch any of the soap operas or the daytime talk shows I was happy to find some legendary players getting their due. “General Hospital” has been around for as long as I can remember and I’m 56 now so that’s saying something. I was also glad to see the late legends of Alex Trebek and Larry King getting awards that were so richly deserved. Losing those two prominent media staples over the last year was rough for sure. I was stoked to see “CBS Sunday Morning” receive some honor since I have been a religous viewer of that for many, many years. So what do you think about this news and the winners of the Daytime Emmys? Are you happy with those who got selected or are you outraged at the personal favorites being overlooked? Chime in down below to let us know what you think and remind us that you are out there seeing our posts. We’d also love for you to be a part of our social networks which are all listed on the “About” page. Stay safe out there and I will see you again soon.
