Happy Valentines Day 2014 Dear Readers <3

Hey there friends it’s everyone’s favorite Hallmark Holiday once again and I just wanted to take a moment of your time to share some themed visuals for this particular day. Since I was not rushing to make extravagant dinner plans or worry about the roses arriving on time for that special someone, I had a little extra time on my hands to play with. First up is this rather silly little “Heart Man” that I have had for years. It was one of the things that my Grandmother had given me to hang up in my old apartment and I just love it so had to share him with you all. Pardon that he is right now sprucing up my intercom.

“Ladies and Gentlemen….The Beatles” A 50th Anniversary (1964-2014)

Those were the words that television host Ed Sullivan said to his audience of 70 Million Viewers that night as he introduced The Beatles to the USA. According to what I have read that was thirty million homes and approximately 40% of the US Televisions. That is pretty impressive for its time. In honor of the occasion The Ed Sullivan Theater has put up a special anniversary marquee and I made sure to snag a photo for you all to enjoy.

Happy Super Bowl Day 2014

From the Bud Lite Quarterback and your humble scribe at the PiercingKen Blog Center.

budliteback_020214_01

I’ll admit that this years event is pretty damn cool based on it being in our neck of the woods in nearby East Rutherford NJ at the Met Life Stadium. Since I am not the proper sports historian, I cannot say that I totally know whether this has ever been done here before or not. Granted I didn’t think so since its often so brutally cold around this time of year on the East Coast. The Big Game will pit the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks and I have to admit that I never followed either team before and wish the best one with the best game skills today the maximum amount of luck.

I’m posting this early for those still seeking out the proper Super Bowl Party event and suggest that they hit one of their favorite watering holes if they feel like doing a little drinking (but please my friends do so responsibly) or maybe convene with friends who are doing some kind of gathering even if its the last minute. There are plenty of awesome pizza places to enjoy or Chinese Take Out spots so give them some business which I know will be appreciated. As far as my own plans, I will be sticking to the creative base command today because there are two killer shows to attend starting tomorrow and its only the beginning of an absolutely insane media week for my time. I look forward to it and of course you will be able to enjoy what I got up to on this or the main website soon enough.

Now let’s toss that coin!!!!!

Presenting Superbowl Boulevard 2014

Superbowl Sunday is just around the corner and the Big Game this year will be the Seattle Seahawks vs. the Denver Broncos over in nearby East Rutherford NJ at Metlife Stadium. This is the first time that a Superbowl game will be over here but then again this particular stadium is relatively new. It’s also going to be a cold one for the players but this post is not really about that and is instead a bunch of visuals of the Superbowl Boulevard that has been assembled from Times Square to Macy’s and runs all of Broadway with activities and broadcasts and a couple of rides.

I decided to get off on 34th Street and walk up to Times Square to see what it was all about and snap a bunch of photos. Since you only have a couple of days to wander this yourself, I figured I should post this quickly. It goes away on February 1st unless I have been misinformed. So take a wander through these visuals, I didn’t comment in one much this time around.
