Netflix Presents: Matt Groenig’s “Disenchantment” Official Trailer

As I’ve been ramping up the Film and TV content here on “The Chronicles”, I’m just going to keep on going with this revealed trailer for the new Matt Groenig show called “Disenchantment”. This will go to the Netflix streaming service and after the clip you can check out some premise and the voice cast. Don’t worry, I’ll also toss my personal editorial views in for good measure. Let’s go.

The Plot: Set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows the story of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naïve elf companion Elfo, and her “personal demon” Luci.

The Cast/Characters:
Abbi Jacobson as Princess Tiabeanie
Eric Andre as Luci & Pendergast
Nat Faxon as Elfo
John DiMaggio as King Zøg
Tress MacNeille as Queen Oona, Prince Derek & The Fairy
Maurice LaMarche as Odval, Big Jo & The Washmaster
David Herman as The Herald, Guysbert & Jerry
Sharon Horgan as Queen Dagmar
Lucy Montgomery as Bunty & The Enchantress
Billy West as Sorcerio, The Jester, Mertz & Pops the Elf
Jeny Batten as Kissy the Elf & Tess the Giantess
Rich Fulcher as Cloyd, Turbish
Matt Berry as Prince Merkimer
Noel Fielding as Stan the Executioner

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Since I’m still watching “The Simpson”s and really enjoyed “Futurama”, I’m going to give Matt’s latest offering a chance when it becomes available for streaming. The great thing about this being on Netflix is that no programming of the DVR is required and if you have a few hours to kill then a series like this can be blasted though in a day. I mean “binged”. The trailer seems funny and quirky and plays along with the mystical realms and the whole “Game Of Thrones” angle so perhaps it will be a nice dose of comedic fun. What do you readers think about this trailer? Will you be setting a reminder on whatever means you use to alert you on August 17th when the show becomes available? Chime in down below.

The “Fear The Riff” Expo Is Coming To Brooklyn Expo Center

Over the last few months I’ve shared some of the updates about the 2nd Annual “Fear The Riff” Expo over on the PiercingMetal.com Website. The expo will be landing at the Brooklyn Expo Center on August 11th and readers of “The Chronicles” will be very aware of this event space as its been the location for the last few years of the NYC Hot Sauce Expo. I’ve documented that event right here on the website as the italicized text will showcase. Since time doesn’t permit me re-doing those posts at the moment, I’m using this posting as a traffic sign to them and you can examine them to your hearts desire by clicking the banner right below.

Important! With this post being a referral to some content posted on PiercingMetal, I’ve disabled the means to comment on it. The link to the main event website is listed however for you to explore any additional information that you might need. Check it out and I hope to see you there.

Nintendo had a small section of their own which was quite popular.  Several new and recent games were on display to try out and those attending were able to try and win a prize.  I am a TERRIBLE gamer so it took me a little doing.

Isn’t it awesome? I think so.

Hello my friends and welcome back to another exciting adventure here on “The Chronicles”. The summer was here in full sway and while its getting hot, the special events and happenings are even hotter. One such event that we have recently enjoyed is the “Sweet Suite” that is curated by our friends over at The Toy Insider.  Longer tenured site readers know about them already but the newbies might need a tad bit of education about them.

The Toy Insider is a collective of industry experts that examine and share the findings about the hottest toys and games that are hitting the shelves and the “Sweet Suite” event is where they bring in the companies behind these items and put them face to face with those YouTube personalities, Social Media Influencers and members of the media (that’s us).  The event was once again held at Pier 60 down in the Chelsea Piers area and when you walked in there was this awesome Statue of Liberty greeting you.  This was made with a 3D printer to my knowledge.

This ballroom maze was also at the entrance for those who chose to brave it.  I did but sadly there is no video of me doing it although I did shoot a clip of the whole thing from the pathway you see to the right in this image.  It was really cool.
