Back in March, I shared the first official trailer for the upcoming film “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” which features the adventures of the famous character Dora The Explorer. If you feel like seeing that trailer post again just click HERE to see it. Now those younger family members have a brand new trailer to enjoy and it was just released a short time ago. The timeless nature of this character will surely have the parents in our readership lining up nice and early to bring their little ones to the film. Synopsis: Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents nothing could prepare Dora for the most dangerous adventure ever – high school. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego, and a rag tag group of teens on an adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization. Disney Presents: “Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” Official Trailer

Back in May I shared the teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney feature “Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil” which you can examine HERE if you are so inclined. With that post I pointed out that sequels no longer surprise me and since I did enjoy the first film, I was definitely curious to see how a chapter two might work out. Earlier today, the fine folks at the House Of Mouse delivered the first Official Trailer and you may peruse it down below along with the premise, casting and some additional poster visuals.

The Synopsis: A fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora, Maleficent II continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. Walt Disney Pictures “Mulan” Official Teaser Trailer

The world at large has recently gotten live action renditions of a number of Disney classics with “Aladdin” already in theaters and “The Lion King” opening up in the coming days. On that note, the news about casting for a live action “The Little Mermaid” is circulating so finding out that “Mulan” was doing the same thing I wasn’t really surprised. The first teaser look at the film was just recently released so let’s take a look at it along with the premise, casting and the first teaser poster as well.

The Plot: When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders attacking China, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. She is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into not only an honored warrior, but one of China’s greatest warriors ever and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father.

Lionsgate Films: “Knives Out” Official Trailer

It’s without question that I love sharing the trailers for upcoming films here and that notion is ramped up to different levels when there is a star-studded ensemble cast involved. While we at first aim to please our readership, these trailer posts are also responsible for some wonderful Google searching which is always a good thing. This new Lionsgate Films release “Knives Out” seems interesting but you can find out for yourself with the first Official Trailer. I’ll come back at the close with some editorial notions.

The Plot:
Wealthy crime novelist Harlan Thrombey invites his family to his mansion for his 85th birthday party. The next morning, Harlan’s housekeeper Fran finds him dead, with his throat slit. The police believe it was suicide, but an anonymous party pays private detective Benoit Blanc to investigate.
