According to the numerous posts I am seeing on Facebook and watching on NY1, today is “Pride Day” and with that being the case we wanted to wish all of our readers that might be celebrating this a very happy and incident free day.

For those who didn’t know this, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. Here in the USA, the last Sunday in June is generally celebrated as “Gay Pride Day,” but I’ve read that the actual day is flexible. As an entertainment scribe, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet people from all walks of life and of creed, color and preference. They all make my world and work that much more interesting.
