Welcome back to my continued presentations from the “Sweet Suite” 2016 event that was recently held as a part of the Blogger Bash on the Cornucopia Majesty yacht on Pier 81. The whole thing is under the mindful eyes of the Toy Insider people and if you’d like to see the previous chapters please click on THIS LINK before continuing as it will bring you up to speed. I’m up to Chapter Three of the bunch and will continue where I left off with the images. There were a lot of awesome properties to examine and I’ll chime in as necessary.
Is it just me or does this “Animal Jam” character remind you of Paul Stanley of KISS. Sure the star is on the wrong side but isn’t that a clever thing that they did here? I think so.
Here is some stuff from the Peppa Pig playsets. Miniature figures and playsets to enjoy for the wee ones. Peppa Pig is a pretty huge deal.
Of course Peppa Pig herself was walking around the event and taking photos with people if they asked.
This was interesting. These are called “Gemmies” and its surely a great activity for the fashion minded child and their parents or guardian.
I’d love one of these small drones but think that it would drive my cat Spooke crazy. I don’t want to do that to her but I wonder if this small a creation can have a mini-camera added to it. That might make for some interesting blogs for sure.
This is a rubber band rifle. Yes you heard me correctly. I got to test my skill and won a small prize. It’s creator is below in the next photo.
I’ve seen these before and am in love with them. Miniature versions of classic toys. These are perfect office desk playthings or for the child where there is not a danger of them chowing down on them. I’d love most of these since they made me smile.
These cute things are called “Whiffer Sniffers” and they have a wonderful smell to them. They are for backpacks I was told and I was given one when I smell tested a certain one and said what it was. Not a bad deal. I am working hard at this convention for the younger set in my circle for sure.
Here are the “Sing-A-Ma-Lings”. Cute stuff but I didn’t get to talk to their people as they were otherwise engaged as I passed by.
My friends in publicity from the fine firm of CHIZCOM. These two made sure I left the event well informed. Thank you ladies.
You know we’ve discussed the Skylanders on a few posts over the years during the Toy Fair coverage. This was their display at “Sweet Suite”
Oh yeah and in case you were hungry, the Activision people had a cupcake station set up. You would have the means to take a cupcake and then decorate it with a whole bevy of goodies. Yes I had one and yes it was AWESOME.
This is a nice display by the K’Nex folks who own Lincoln Logs which I think everyone had a container of when I was growing up. Their staff member said that the coupon they were handing out would get me a container so I gladly took that. Maybe I will be able to write the site logo with them.
I’ve mentioned these cool action figures before and if you are just seeing them now, they are the IAmElemental action figures. They are aimed at the female market but boys can have them too if they want. The first series comes in this collectible tin. Take a look at what they brought to the show.
I first saw LeapFrog stuff when I was helping friends with their computer and their little one had a LeapPad. She showed me that it helped with counting and ABC’s and I thought this was wonderful. Of course being who I am, I messed around with the order of the classic Alphabet Song which made the child look at me like I had three heads.
I was pretty familiar with the TMNT stuff that Playmates Toys brought alone. I’ve been a fan of this franchise for quite some time and I cannot believe that its still going strong. I mean I’m glad it is for sure. Cowabunga Dude!
Three down and one more to go. Did you enjoy this one? I’ll be back in a couple of days with another installment and since I don’t want to find you sitting idle, I should remind you that I’ve also loaded up a score of photos on the Official Instagram of PiercingKen which you can find by clicking that highlighted text. When you’re not doing that you can also click through onto some of the website links below so you can learn more about the people and brands that we encountered and featured in this installment. Until next time, cheers.
