Truth be told, I’ve never really listened to much from the Electronic, Trance/Fusion Jam band known as the Disco Biscuits but when the news came that they had covered a classic by Blondie with “Rapture”, I decided to give a listen and share my thoughts with the readership. The Press Release:
On Sunday, Vevo confirmed that Taylor Swift’s “ME!” had broken the record for most views in 24 hours. Today, Vevo can confirm that “ME!” is now the fastest video to reach 100 million views.
The video for “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco eclipses records formerly set by Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” and Taylor’s very own “Look What you Made Me Do.” This feat was managed in 79 hours following the release of the video on Friday, April 26th.
JP Evangelista, Vevo SVP of Content, Programing & Marketing said, “Taylor has consistently demonstrated the ability to break records on Vevo. She continues to expand upon a deep history of incredibly striking audio-visual work. Likewise, director Dave Meyers continues a storied career as one of the premier music video directors in our industry. On behalf of the Vevo family, we congratulate Taylor Swift & Republic Records on yet another historic accomplishment.”

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Now despite my not being among the fans of Taylor Swift since I like my music a lot heavier, I have to say that this is an incredible accomplishment for a single video clip. YouTube is one of the hardest places to build up a following these days but it doesn’t surprise me when it comes to Taylor because she works really hard on her craft and has a bankroll to bring in the most talented people in the industry to get things done. I did enjoy the clever playfulness and special effects in this clip and wish that I had the budget to do magnificent things with my own two channels for “The Chronicles” and PiercingMetal but alas – I don’t. What did you think about this clip and the milestone? Please feel free to chime in down below in the comments section. See you again soon.
The hot sauce fanatics of our Media Metropolis were looking forward to this years event for sure and I was happy to participate this past weekend. I signed myself up for the Saturday session of the NYC Hot Sauce Expo and was stoked as all heck to be a part of its 7th Annual Expo and to catch up with friends that I only manage to see here. Based on the need to try the samples with one hand, I decided to mostly phone photo this presentation and I am only going to talk every now and again so I hope you enjoy it all. Here we go.
I’m going to stop here with my exploration of the NYCHSE but stay tuned for some more once the fire that is inside me has subsided. To make sure that you remain in the know, I’ve culled together a number of links to the vendors discussed in this chapter so please do click through to their websites. You’ll learn what else they have and where to purchase it all. Remember that “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” is very active on the social networks and will be sharing a number of visuals and thoughts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so be sure to follow us. It might not surprise you to know this information, but both the New York Times Travel Show and The New York Boat Show run in tandem at the Javits Center and last year was my first time attending both of these events. I’m happy to report that I was able to secure the proper media credentials and would be exploring the Industry Day which is for the professional side of the fence and approved press.
As I’ve done with the previous year, this is mostly a visual gallery of the fun that one can have as they chart their future travel adventures. I focused on the people more than a pile of brochures so let’s go.
Hey there boaters, I’m back with some more of the sights from the 2019 New York Boat Show which is sponsored and presented the fine folks at Progressive.
