PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con 2017 @ Javits Center

Good afternoon my friends. I’m taking a minute of your time to use The Chronicles as a PSA to let you know that I have just begun loading up my thoughts and images from the currently running NY Comic Con. As usual this event is taking over the Javits Center and beyond and I am proud to share that I am once again wandering this massive happening as a member of the press. If you click the graphic below, you will be transported over to the PiercingMetal.com website and see a rundown of the posts that are online.

So far there are a little more than a handful, but that is because the event is still running at the time of this writing. It’s common for me to post between 4 and 6 posts per day from the convention since I like to keep the images to “50” and no more per post. It’s more work like this but who cares, I want to give you the most I possibly can. Please check it out and know that much more is coming to this site as well based on all the things that I have been lining up.

Remember that the means to comment on this post has been turned OFF as I encourage those who are compelled to add thoughts to do so on the chapter that is most relevant to do so on. Thanks for listening.

In December “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Comes To Brooklyn @ Barclays Center

As I just shared word about the “Scared In Jersey” happening, I figured I would also be serving our readership well by letting them know about a very interesting musical concert taking place at the Barclays Center in December. Check out the full release down below.

The Press Release:
Pumpkin King Danny Elfman is coming to Brooklyn on December 6 & 7 to perform his legendary role of Jack Skellington in a very special screening, with the music performed live by a full orchestra and choir, of Disney’s timeless holiday classic, “TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.” Elfman will be joined by other original cast members, including Catherine O’Hara(Sally) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie), who will all sing live during the movie.

Danny Elfman, who wrote the film’s songs (music and lyrics), composed its original score and was the original singing voice of Jack Skellington says, “Being able to perform “Nightmare” live in synch to the movie with a full orchestra was such a thrill at the sold out Hollywood Bowl shows. Having Catherine O’Hara and Ken Page to perform with me really made it a unique and magical experience. I’m happy to bring this special night to Brooklyn for the first time in December.”

“Scared In Jersey” Halloween Event Debuts @ PNC Bank Arts Center For 2017 Season

The Halloween Season is upon us and that means that across the country numerous Haunted Houses, and forests and the like all start to pop up. “Scared In Jersey” is a new and interesting one that I just received some press about and in order to use The Chronicles website as a guide to your frightening fun, I am sharing the press release with you below. Check it out…..If. You. Dare……Bwah ha ha ha haaaaaah!!!!

The Press Release:
This October, the legend of the Jersey Devil comes to life with the debut of SCARED IN JERSEY, the Northeast’s premier Halloween event, taking place every Thursday through Sunday throughout the month, plus Halloween night, at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ (dates listed below).

The multi-attraction event, presented by Live Nation, is the brainchild of industry veterans Artist Group International, SRae Productions and Blood Drums by Street Drum Corps. SCARED IN JERSEY features such attractions as the Pine Barren Maze, Mother Leeds’ Haunted Cottage, The Devil’s Midway and multiple live performances from Blood Drums nightly. Watch the promo video here.

“As entertainers and producers working in the Halloween industry for over a decade, we feel confident that Scared In Jersey will give Halloween lovers and haunted attraction goers just what they need,” share the creators and founders of Blood Drums: Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo. “We are looking forward to introducing you to the Jersey Devil and the story of his haunted legend!”

The legend of the Jersey Devil is not one for the faint of heart. Folklore claims that the Leeds family was an eccentric one: Mother Leeds was a witch and Father Leeds a drunkard, described as the Devil himself. Upon learning of the conception of her 13th child, Mother Leeds exclaimed “let this one be a devil!” As the child grew in her belly, she knew her child would be a special one. Legends say that she purposely performed ghastly spells to ensure the Devil’s birth. On a dark and stormy night in October 1735, Mother Leeds went into labor. The birth was one of terrible struggle and a physician was called upon to aid the midwife. When the child was born, it was seemingly a perfectly healthy baby boy, but within minutes, much to Mother Leeds excitement, the child began to turn. The changeling suddenly sprouted horns; his head began to morph into that of a goat with terrible vampirish fangs; its feet formed into hooves as the fingers on its hands elongated and grew sharp claws; bat like wings began to expand from his back while a forked tail burst forth from his tailbone. The midwife stared in amazement as Mother Leeds began laughing hysterically at the creature she had just birthed. Suddenly, the changeling became aware of his surroundings and turned on the cottage’s inhabitants, taking out the midwife first, and then his father, by ripping their throats via its razor-sharp claws before finally turning on his mother, ripping her abdomen to shreds. After the murderous scene unfolded, the monster darted to the fire place and flew out the chimney to wreak havoc on the Pine Barrens area for centuries to come. The only witness to the Devil’s birth to survive was the physician; read his journal entry about it at the link below.
