Marvel Comics Announces A “Fresh Start” Coming In May

If you’ve followed my PiercingMetal.com website for any length of time, you probably know that we love the comic book medium quite a bit and since there is going to be a LOT of news coming from the folks at Marvel Comics, I wanted to share a recent press release with our readers of The Chronicles. Piercing Ken Thoughts: I’ve already said this on the PiercingMetal.com news blast but I will repeat here that I don’t know how I feel about another relaunch so quickly after what appeared to be another relaunch with their “Marvel Legacy” but hey, I am willing to give anything a shot for a couple of issues at least. The weirdest part for me is that I was just getting used to the return of the legacy numbering of the currently running titles. I do love first issues as you readers who are following our monthly solicitations posts know so let’s see what happens. I’m going to venture a guess that most of the heroes that we see in the poster that was provided will be getting a brand new first issue and series over the course of the months. My hope is that they choose to keep the pricing of the issues on the lowest as possible side to ensure that they sell off the stands as fast as your local retailer can get them out of the shipment. Closing up, I’m going to direct you to PiercingMetal’s Comics category via THIS LINK and suggest that you bookmark it so you can see what comes out as a part of this “Fresh Start” initiative along with a whole bunch of other things. The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken Is Heading To Toy Fair 2018 @ Jacob Javits Center

Hey there readers, just a quick alert about our next few days of activities as “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” Lifestyle Blog will once again be heading to the American International Toy Fair that will be happening at the Javits Center over the next four days. This is our 8th year of attendance and as expected the larger reports will be posted over on PiercingMetal.com. Be sure to stay tuned for these narratives so you can be on top of the holiday purchasing season.

Much like our coverage of the New York Comic Con, the Toy Fair adventures will be serialized posts with many of them being direct company focuses to offer greater impact on their product lines. I might do a day by day overview with additional thoughts but that will be a battlefield decision at the moment. Those interested should bookmark THIS TAG as it will bring up anything that gets posted about the 2018 Convention. I also encourage that you follow our Official Social Networks of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter since I plan on being very active on them during the event and would love to have you along for the fun discoveries.

Megadeth’s David Ellefson Announces Midwest Coffee Tour

Fresh off of a hugely successful NAMM SHOW exhibiting with Ellefson Coffee Co, and his labels EMP LABEL GROUP and COMBAT, MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson has announced a string of March Midwest appearances including the launch of the URBAN LEGEND COFFEE STOUT with Sioux Falls microbrewery HYDRA BEER COMPANY.

The URBAN LEGEND release comes on the heels of the successful January launch of COMBAT BLOOD AND BULLETS CABERNET, a 2015 California Cabernet, and COMBAT HARD CIDER, a Hard Cider infused with Ellefson Coffee, both cellared and bottled by Scottsdale, AZs DESERT ROCK WINERY, announced officially on Sirius XM with EDDIE TRUNK during NAMM. Hey NYC – “Fanfaire 2018” Is Coming!

As I tooled around Facebook the other day to see what was happening in terms of interesting events to attend or support I learned about the 2018 Fanfaire and have provided some information for your attention. Check it out.

Here’s The Scoop:

About The Event: Fanfaire is an annual two-day festival, created by the Art & Design High School Parent Teacher Association. Fanfaire will celebrate creativity, entrepreneurship, and technology in the arts from cartooning and animation to architecture and fashion. This event will draw over 125 exhibiting artists and vendors as well as award-winning guest speakers who will be offering lectures about their careers and artistic processes as well as conducting workshops and portfolio reviews. The PTA created Fanfaire in its mission to provide funding for high-quality art programs, prepare students for academic success and careers as professional commercial artists. This platform will allow students of an art centric high school access to best of the global entertainment and technology industries that has relatable content with their futures in mind.

About Art & Design High School PTA: As a public school celebrating its 82nd year, Art & Design High School serves many students who live in underserved communities. In addition to the typical expenses any student would have, our students need professional grade art supplies and materials as well as opportunities for college exploration and career development that is unique in comparison to other schools. The PTA helps fund these critical needs and more for the students and school, and provide the necessary support for their families across all socio-economic strata, which is why we created Fanfaire.
