I'm a Freelance Music Photojournalist from NYC and Founder of the Heavy Metal website PiercingMetal.com; I created this blog site to showcase the other things in life that keep my interest or catch my attention. Believe me that is a lot of stuff to talk about when it comes down to it. I hope you enjoy what we are delivering because there is so much to share as a resident of this bustling metropolis.

A little over a month ago, I broadcast that the “Fear The Riff” Expo was heading our way in early October and as you read this posting, that very convention is only days away. The full press rundown was outlined in a post that you can examine on THIS LINK and then you can come back here for the update.

I didn’t want to repeat the same press release twice but instead felt that I should focus on the sweet six string and devices vendors since the list has expanded quite a bit since that first post. Take a look at this list and tell me that the wallet isn’t screaming at you to try some of this stuff out (if you are a guitar player of course).

Looking Inside The “Holiday Of Play” Goodie Bag

As documented here on the website and the Official Instagram, I was recently a member of the media in attendance at the Toy Insider’s annual “Holiday Of Play” event.  At the close of the fun-filled affair, everyone got a hefty goodie bag and with unboxings or unveilings of “what’s in the box” sort of clips and narratives being hot – I decided to show you all what we went home with right here on The Chronicles.  This year, the tote bag was in white and had the corporate branding and slogan across it.  In addition to being available to attendees they were also used to dole out the takeaways.  Let’s open this baby up.

The Magnaflex product is the first ever magnetic building strips.  It seems like a fun concept for younger kids and comes care of the folks at Wowee.

Designer Josh Bennett Reveals Marvel-themed Men’s Sweater Collection

Generally speaking I will be posting any announcements from the Marvel Entertainment folks over on PiercingMetal if it speaks to comic book series or general superhero updates but since this was more fashion based, I felt that it worked better with our lifestyle offerings here on “The Chronicles”. Take a look down below and know that I will return at the close.

The Press Release:
Josh Bennett, fashion designer and knitter extraordinaire, brings his passion for Marvel and its complex storytelling into a new sweater collection inspired by Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok. The new line will showcase Nordic influences, luxury fibers, and fantastical touches across a tight range of men’s sweaters available this holiday season.

Hand knitting has had a renaissance recently, taking the fashion world by storm, and Bennett has led that charge with custom knitwear collections in conjunction with Bergdorf Goodman, Michael Bastian, Tommy Hilfiger, and others. Sweaters remain a staple of winter fashion, and hand-crafted knitting is the ultimate in luxury with each piece designed and finished in the US by Bennett himself. Josh has also expanded his business by using KOCO (Knit One Care One), a knitting hub located in India, that empowers and educates women in the skills of knitting, math, and English.
