The 3rd Annual Bit Awards Show Returns To Celebrate Video Games & Creators

Last summer we attended our very first “PLAY.NYC” Event and it was a cool place to learn what the talented developers and gamers are up to. Now its time to reveal the nominees in that conventions awards show. Take a look.

The Press Release:
Playcrafting – one of the largest communities of game creators and fans in the U.S. – revealed today the full nominee line-up, its “Game Changer” honoree, and more of what’s in store for the 3rd annual Bit Awards – New York’s largest celebration of games on the rise – in partnership with Parsons School of Design. Beginning at 7 p.m. ET on February 1, 2019, game creators and enthusiasts will convene at The Auditorium at Parsons the New School (66 West 12th Street in New York, NY) to celebrate the year in games and the people who make them.

“Our incredible community is the heart and soul behind everything we do at Playcrafting,” said Dan Butchko, Playcrafting’s Founder and CEO. “The Bit Awards is the one time a year we gather creators and fans from across the country to honor games and industry leaders – both rising and established – through an interactive show that is sure to surprise and delight.”

Actress and producer Carolina Ravassa, well known as the voice of Sombra in Overwatch, will serve as host for the evening, taking attendees through world premiere trailers from cutting-edge studios, rock out performances led by award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer of fan favorites Just Case 4 and Street Fighter Zac Zinger, and much more.

Now Playing: “Glass” in Theaters Everywhere (1/18/2019)

Though it’s been a few months since the last reference, I’ve posted about the film “Glass” a couple of times already in posts about the First Trailer and the Second Trailer which you can enjoy by clicking the hyperlinked text. Each of them feature some cool promotional posters so do take a moment to do that and to refresh yourself with the film that brings M Night Shyamalan’s trilogy to its close. “Glass” opens today in theaters everywhere so let’s review the main poster, premise and casting.

Lionsgate Movies: “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” Official Trailer

Keanu Reeves fans will be saying “Excellent” when they learn that the action-adventure hero John Wick will be continuing his story in a third film entitled “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”. Hopefully you’ve pardoned my use of one of his “Ted” proclamations from those bygone years but I used it since I couldn’t think of anything from “The Matrix” that would fit. Not yet at least. So the film has its first trailer which you can enjoy down below. Take a look at that, the premise and the casting.

Premise: Still on the run following his assassination of Santino D’Antonio in the Continental, and with a $14 million global contract on him, Jonathan “John” Wick is banned from every Continental service, which forces him to fight his way out of New York City with the help of a hitwoman who still trusts him.

Nominees For The 72nd British Academy Film Awards

I’m a little behind in sharing this news but being knocked out by some kind of flu will slow down the levels of productivity for just about anyone. Oh I’m mostly fine by now with the cough being the only remnant so please don’t worry.
