Hey there readers, I’m glad you stopped by the blog today because I have a lot of fun images and some thoughts about the recent PDN Photoplus Expo that we attended a few short days ago. Much like my convention coverage of the NY Comic Con and Toy Fair, this event takes place over at the Javits Center but its hardly as massive as those two affairs are. Photoplus Expo is a great place to not only see and sample some of the latest and greatest things for the photography field, but its also a place you can plop down the cash if you have it on hand. I’ll be chiming in sporadically during this presentation but not too much as I prefer to let the images do the talking for me. Let’s go.
There were lots of drones around if you liked those kind of things. Shooting video and images with one of these does interest me but I fear I would accidentally destroy it or send it into the harbor based on my surroundings.
Here’s the Nikon pavilion. They often have some cool displays for people to practice taking photos of.
This year they seemed to only have these couple of dudes doing artwork in the booth and hanging it up. I snapped this one photo as opposed to a bunch of them.
I love conventions since you never know who you might see and here is our old friend from such places Miss Bec Fordyce. We met Bec at our first ever NY Comic Con adventure and its always a pleasure to see her in the field.
This printing and binding company was using the classic Viewaster device to showcase its wares and they even gave me one. I still have some of those Viewmaster reels in my collection of stuff so cannot wait to look at them once again.
I’m going to take a breather with this convention adventure right here but can promise a return tomorrow with plenty of additional images and notations. Remember that you can follow me as I am working all this stuff out via the Official Instagram and Official Twitter so please check those out.
