Merry Christmas 2014 From NYC

Hello my dear readers and a very Merry Christmas to you all if you are indeed celebrating it like we do here in the creative confines of the PiercingKen Sanctum Sanctorum. I’m a little behind in getting this posting online today and that was based on my needing to pull a lot of the photos off of the new phone as opposed to how I usually did this with my little point and shoot camera. That said, here are a whole bunch of Christmas themed visuals and be sure to stick around until the very end because that is the place to see all of the giant Christmas trees that we snapped as well. I’ll keep the banter light and let these photos do the talking. Enjoy.

I don’t think that Santa was trying to look tipsy here but he is stationed above a NYC bar so perhaps he was.  He deserves a nip after that long ride.

Clearly Santa does NOT want anyone among us to get the flu and has taken the time to help advertise the shot being available to get right at this pharmacy.  This was a Rite Aid by the way.  I felt I should mention that.

I have never before seen a Christmas themed Chinese Food container.  There truly is a first time for everything in this life isn’t there.

While a more modern one is observed not too far away on someone’s front lawn.

This photo below shows my “faux” tree for this year.  I went minimalistic and slightly modern to keep it super simple.  I just didn’t have much time these past few weeks to do anything bigger and more festive.  It worked for me and now you readers get to see it as well.

I’ll get to the trees in a moment but check this out. As you made your way up Fifth Avenue and hit Sak’s, they had their annual facade show going on. I could not get near the center so shot this from one of the corners and with my still relatively new phone.

Here she is, the Big Kahuna of Christmas Trees the one and only Rockefeller Center tree. After braving the crowd on a more surrounded by people than expected Sunday, I wanted to be a little dramatic and shot this one with some serious angle. Folks around me were sure that I could not get the whole thing but when they saw I did, then they tried their own hand at it. I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery and I am surely not the first person to try this kind of shot. Seeing this tree no matter how many people are around me, make me love my city all the more. If you have never visited us, I do hope you do that sometime.

That brings us to the end of another year’s edition of this. I hope you liked it and will keep returning to this blog to check out whatever I decide to talk about. Merry Christmas once again.
