(Shaft!); You’re damn right!” Yes my friends you are DAMNED RIGHT and the one and only Shaft has a new movie albeit one that I didn’t even expect was being released. This is a sequel to the film of the same name from 2000. Here’s the first trailer.
The Plot: John “JJ” Shaft Jr. is an FBI agent and a cybersecurity expert with a degree from MIT. After his best friend dies under suspicious circumstances, he turns to his estranged father – the legendary John Shaft II – to uncover the truth. Back in November, I first discussed the trailer for the upcoming “UglyDolls” Film, (seen HERE in case you missed it). The clip was cute and I am a fan of the dolls themselves because they are so weird. Now a second clip has surfaced and since I love bringing these to your attention here you go. I’ve also included the premise, casting and the revealed theatrical poster for good measure.
The Plot: Moxy and her UglyDoll friends travel to the other side of the mountain where Uglyville nestles and finds the town of Perfection, a place where everyone is perfect. There they encounter Lou, who gathers recruits to train for perfection and ultimately find a child in the real world. I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone who sees the hit film “Big Hero 6” loves the character of Baymax who is the hero of this animated feature. I recently got my hands on one of the cool products available by Bandai and opened it up to offer you this little overview. Let’s take a look. I apologize for this being a still photography “unboxing” but I didn’t have the proper set up for me to do otherwise at the moment.
Behold the “Squish-To-Fit” Baymax which as you see comes with a miniature squishable version of the robot, two suits of armor and a vehicle. Here is the front and back of the packaging that you’ll find on the shelves.
With so many movies coming out, it’s been a bit of a task keeping up with the ones for our Pop Culture section here on “The Chronicles” for sure. Much like my PiercingMetal.com site sticks to the superhero and monster films, this site pays close mind to almost anything Disney, Pixar and the other major houses that are putting out quality all-ages releases. Today is Super Bowl Sunday and I’ve read in advance that a lot of trailer were coming or being loaded up direct to their production company YouTube channels. Such is the case with the latest clip for the opening soon “Wonder Park” which was online long before the game began as you can see by our timestamp.
