Happy Saint Patrick’s Day My Readers :)

Hello my friends and “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day” to you all. I know that it’s weird to wish readers such a thing considering the growing concerns about this Coronavirus (aka Covid-19). As you well know by now, the annual Saint Patrick’s Day was cancelled in addition to large gatherings. With gatherings like concerts, conventions and parades being among the biggest draws of people, the view is by stopping them from happening, we will help slow the progression of this virus. Here’s to hoping right? This photo below comes from the nearby popular bar and restaurant, The Wicked Monk.

Happy New Year 2020 My Readers!!!

Good morning my Friends and those who are just happening by this here domain, let me be one of the first to wish you a very “Happy New Year”. I didn’t go crazy with any revelry last night as I’ve been on one of those sober months that you read about people doing at this time of the year. I actually started mine just before Christmas and figure I might wait until the annual Toy Fair if I am approved for that event. So the wonderful Queen of the Apartment, my black cat Spooke wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year as well and she was quite upset that the glasses were too big for her. She is a good sport with all the silliness that I include her in for sure. She is closing in on her 18th birthday this March.

spooke the cat, happy new year, new year's day

As you might already know if you’ve been reading this site for any measure of time, I generally like to post a dozen or so “principles” or thoughts on how to have a productive and positive New Year. Since my own day has started off like an Olympic Race I will need to return with the list in the coming days. I have about five convention pitches to work on at the moment for the shows that are happening at the end of the month and into February and that doesn’t even touch the stuff that is happening over on the PiercingMetal side of the fence. Stay tuned and until I get around to the longer list, be good to each other and your pets. Time is a precious commodity so use it well. See you soon.

Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Presentation “Greatness Is Everywhere”

saks fifth avenue logo

Last night I was braving the effects of what the news called a “Squall” to secure my annual Holiday Tree visuals and as expected, a part of this adventure is to stop and enjoy the holiday lightshow that gets put on by the famous Saks Fifth Avenue store. This years show was called “Greatness Is Everywhere” which connects to the “Frozen II” film I am told. Since I didn’t see the picture I will have to trust what I’ve read. It’s only about three minutes in length so sit down, relax and enjoy and consider giving the channel a little love by clicking “Subscribe”.

Production Notes:
This year I secured the clip via my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and didn’t use a conventional camera at all. Heck, I didn’t even snap photos of the trees with one and instead opted to be phone only for a change. Considering the brief bit of snow that we had, I preferred the device getting wet to be my encased mobile device more than a traditional digital camera. Though we still have a few days before the Christmas Holidays, I want to wish you and yours a very “Merry Christmas”. Be kind to one another.

Merry Christmas 2018 My Friends :)

Hey there readers, I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very “Merry Christmas” if you are celebrating the holiday with us today.

For those celebrating Christmas, I hope that you have gotten and given out some nice presents for those who are in your circle and also that you’ve extended the kindness to a needy cause of some kind. If you haven’t, I am sure you can find some unused and in good condition clothes for a shelter, or toys for some kind of drive and maybe even old books to the library or a place like Housing Works where all the money goes for a great cause. Maybe feed a stray cat or consider adopting one that might be good company for your family for life. I know my Spooke will get some additional treats today and last night I left a big helping of food for these two related cats near my building but I digress. For this years photo, I’ve lightly modified the leather jacket from the way it has generally looked during the Trans-Siberian Orchestra shows. I used to add a few more ornaments on it, but several have broken over the years and just this past Saturday I learned that the flashing lights are NOT permitted in the arena. Oddly enough I wore them last year but the times they are a changing. I fear next year is going to be the Santa hat and the stocking only but oh well, this angle had a good run. Spooke on the other hand felt that her little Santa hat was all that she needed. Considering she is going to be “17” in early 2019 she can do whatever she likes.

Thanks so much for spending some time with me here on “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken”, there has really been a lot of fun adventures and visuals to share with you and there is still time before the year leaves us to its successor so who knows what else I will find to share. Remember to Follow or Like us on the main Social Networks of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I used them extensively when out and about and would love you to be along with me for the ride. Merry Christmas.
